A former Spanish teacher, Marilyn writes mysteries, romantic suspense, and novels for kids.

As Allison Brook, Marilyn writes the popular Haunted Library series.

The first book, DEATH OVERDUE, was an Agatha nomination for Best Contemporary Novel, a Library Journal Pick of the Month, and on Goodreads' list of the 200 Most Popular Books Published in October,
2017. BOOKED ON MURDER, the eighth and final book, was released on August 6, 2024.

DEATH ON DICKENS ISLAND, the first in the Books on the Beach series that she also writes as Allison Brook, was released on October 21, 2025, and has received many wonderful reviews. It is available in hardcover, paperback, e- book, and audio and scheduled to be out in Large Print in February, 2026.

COME HOME TO DEATH, the first novel Marilyn wrote, was published by Rowan Prose Publishing in 2025. RPP has also republished many of Marilyn's mystery and suspense novels:
MURDER A LA CHRISTIE and MURDER THE TEY WAY, her two Golden Age of Mystery Book Club mysteries; A MURDERER AMONG US and MURDER IN THE AIR, her two Twin Lake mysteries;
GIVING UP THE GHOST and DANGEROUS RELATIONS.

Also rereleased was THE DEVIL'S PAWN, a horror-suspense YA novel that will give you chills but leave you smiling when you've read the last page. Her "Children's Choice" middle grade novel, RUFUS AND MAGIC RUN AMOK, has been republished and is now the first in a four-book series.
RUFUS AND THE WITCH'S DRUDGE and RUFUS AND THE DARK SIDE OF MAGIC are out, and RUFUS AND THE RIGHT SIDE OF MAGIC will be released in 2026. AND DON'T BRING JEREMY,
Marilyn's first published book and a nominee for six state awards was recently republished by Picarones Press.

Marilyn's short story Stabbed in the Heart, appeared in the award-winning anthology FIRST COMES LOVE, THEN COMES MURDER in June, 2024.

Marilyn loves traveling, reading, knitting, doing Sudoku, practicing yoga and chatting with her grandchildren on FaceTime. And spending time with her kitties, Romeo and Juliet.
