For
the last few years I have been writing mysteries and romantic
suspense novels for adults. Below are excerpts from some of them. Romantic Suspense: An abusive marriage has turned Ardin off love and romance. But after her promiscuous cousin is murdered, she finds herself falling for Brett, her cousin’s widower, while vying with him for custody of her cousin’s love child. Ardin must overcome the demons of her past, as she and Brett set out to catch Suziette’s murderer before he kills again. Midwinter, Gabbie Meyerson comes to a Long Island village to teach at the local high school and discovers that she’s sharing a cottage with the ghost of Cameron Leeds. Cam claims his death was no accident and insists that Gabbie find out who murdered him. As Gabbie keeps one chapter ahead of her English classes and copes with insolent bullies who torment one of her students, she learns that many villagers are glad that Cam is dead. On a date with the handsome police chief, Gabbie convinces him to reopen Cam’s case. Another murder occurs and Gabbie’s life is put in danger as the entire village goes searching for a missing boy.
Newly retired Lydia Krause moves to the upscale, over-55 community of Twin Lakes, where she publicly exposes the community’s financial advisor, Marshall Weill, as a convicted embezzler. The next morning, Weill’s wife is found dead, mowed down by Lydia’s car . Sexy Lieutenant Detective Sol Molina views Lydia as Suspect Number One, spurring her on to prove her innocence and to find the murderer. Another residents dies, and Lydia barely escapes with her life. As she falls for Sol Molina, copes with one daughter’s adulterous affair and the other’s upcoming wedding, Lydia paves a new life for herself and reveals the murderer among the Twin Lakes’ residents.
The remains of a teenaged boy are unearthed on newly-acquired Twin
Lakes property. Lydia’s neighbor, Daniel Korman appears to have
known the boy and hints at foul play. Then Daniel is killed, and
Lydia suspects that two of his childhood friends have committed both
crimes. As the murders and assaults mount, Lydia is drawn further
into the world of Daniel Korman. Her budding relationship with
Detective Sol Molina is seriously compromised as Lydia seeks answers
in what Sol considers his professional arena. |
